Spring is in the Air

It's been nearly a year since I've updated this blog! My apologies. (Do I still have any viewers?)

We're still loving the house. Decorating has been slow, but it's moving along. I'm talking old, wrinkled snail slow, but step-by-step, we're making progress.

What have we been up to?
MulchingSpring is near! And it's finally time for the grass to get some TLC. There are no houses in my neighborhood like ours and our brick is kind of low key, color wise, so we thought the red mulch would give it some pop. Barry and Brandon are still working on the project.

He didn't reeeally want to do the yard, but what choice did the lil fella have? Lol

We've been cooking...

We've had very few get togethers because we've been chillin!
We are still going to have a home warming (or summer BBQ warming?), but I just wanted to get a few more items inside - and a full yard - before hand. Don't rush me. We've got a 30 year mortgage and nothing but time.

We've been CLEANING! I promise that I'm hiring a maid service to deep clean 4 times a year, but for now, we've been holding it down ourselves. And let me tell you, it takes some effort to keep a 2 story, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house clean! Thank God, I have a husband who was raised by a super clean mom, I hate dirt, and Brandon can still be forced/threatened to scrub his bathroom and keep his room in some kind of...order.

I hate an unclean fridge, and I don't let anything go out of date. I TRASH everything that I'm not using. Sometimes Barry's left overs take an accidental dive, and that's always a sad day, but I keeps no old food in my refrigerator.

I've been decorating.
I love my new sage green cordless blinds! I was sooo proud of the both of us for hanging these babies. I'm going for contemporary, not minimalist, in my office, so I've a little bit more decorating to do. But here she is so far.

I made these curtains for my little windows. Pretty good for a first try huh?

Ok, I can't get off the blinds. See how you just push or pull them up???

I decided to use my own photography for pics in the office. I'm not done, but check out the picture of me at the driving range. I think it represents female strength and capability as well as femininity. Me.

Artwork for the family room. I got a great deal and it compliments my color scheme so well.

Cute picture of Barry and Brandon's baby sister...

Had to put one more picture of the boys working... Love it!
