New Homebuyer Credit Extended to June

From the IRS:

The deadline for claiming the First-Time Homebuyer Credit has been extended, and longtime homeowners buying a replacement home are eligible for a credit, as well.

In addition, special rules apply to the uniformed services, the foreign service, and the intelligence community on qualified extended duty outside of the United States.

You now have an extra year to buy a principal residence in the U.S.

That means you have until April 30th, 2010, to sign a binding contract and until June 30th to close on the home.

WHEW! I'd been hearing rumors, but I wasn't sure that we would have until June 30th to actually close on the home. We're good!
